Schuyler Lawrence, without any real documentary evidence, believes this Nicholas to possibly be the Nicholas Lawrence of Agercroft who had eight sons by his wife Mary and founded lines of some wealth and position, rather than Nicholas, son of Robert Lawrence and brother of Sir James Lawrence as many pedigrees indicate. He believes that Nicholas, brother of Sir James, must have died without issue otherwise the Lawrence lands would have passed through Nicholas instead of through the sisters of Sir James.2 Family Mary Moore Children
