Birth: ABT 1691 in Germany (father's name possibly Peter) Death: in (probably) PA or aboard ship en route to PA Note: Nicholas Schwenk was aboard the "St. Andrew" which arrived in Philadelphi a, PA in 1741, listed as age 50, hence his estimated birth year of 169 1. However, those passenger lists were made up by English-speaking peop le who didn't understand German, and usually the German passengers didn 't speak English, so ages were estimated. Nicholas was accompanied by Lore ntz, listed as age 18, believed to be his son. Nothing further is kno wn of this Nicholas. It's possible that Nicholas died aboard the St. Andr ew before reaching Philadelphia as his name isn't on the list of those w ho were aboard when the ship qualified at port or on the list of those w ho took the oath. His name appears only on the list of passengers who dep arted from Rotterdam.
