Nils Nilsen

Nils Nilsen Urnes ble født 8. mai 1820 på Kreken under Urnæs i Hafslo, og var son hans "Plassa Nils" Mora var Synneve Kreken.

Nils Tronskog ble gift med Elisabeth Larsdt. Feiga i 1848 og bosatte seg i Tråi under Feigum hvor han drev plassen sammen med foreldrene. Ca 1856 flytter de til Trondskogen under Kroken i Hafslo.

Nils og Elisabeth fikk 7 barn. Fire ble født på Feigum. Den yngste sønnen blir født etter at Nils dør i 1862, derfor blir også han oppkalt etter faren.

Det er derfor to sønner med navn Nils.

To av barna reiser til Amerika. Ola og Sunneva.

Lars, Nils d.e., og Hermund reiser til Nordland.

Anna blir gift med Bondehagen på Lærdalsøyra.

Den yngste Nils Nilson blir i Solvorn.

I tillegg til Synneve og Ole, var det 4 barnebarn og 2 oldebarn som kom til Amerika.

Nils Nilsen Urnes (Tronskog) was born 8. May 1820 on Kreken under Urnæs in Haflo, and he was son of "Plassa Nils" (Nils Ols.Urnes). Mother was Synneve Kreken under Urnæs in Hafslo. For awhile he lives at Bringebakken under Dalsøyri.

Nils Tronskog was married to Elisabth Larsdt. Feiga in 1848 and they lived at Tråi under Feigum, where he ran the farm with his father-in-law. Lars Ingebrightson. Ca 1856 they move to Trondskogen under Kroken in Hafslo.

Nils and Elisabeth had 7 children. Foure was born at Feigum. Synneve, Anna, Lars and Nils the Elder. At Tronskogen, two more children was born, Ole and Hermund.

Nils died in 1862, leaving six small children, the eldest thirteen years old. Elisabth was pregnant with the seventh, who was also named Nils, after his father.

Elisabeth continued to live at Trondskogen until around 1876. Then she was married again to Torbjørn Olson Kjempenes from Luster who had lived in Solvorn since 1842 and was a widower. Elisabeth then moved to Solvorn.

Of Nils and Elisabeth's children one stays in Solvorn. Nils Nilson the Younger. 1863-1937.

Two went to America, Ola and Synneva (who then was married).

Lars, Nils the elder and Hermund went north in Norway to Nordland county. Anna was married in Laerdalsøyra(Lærdalsøyra) to Bondehagen.

Besides Synneva and Ole, there were four grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren of Nils and Elisabeth who came to America.
