Last Will and Testament of Noah Hampton: Written 03 June 1772 and Proved 09 July 1775: In the name of God, Amen, I Noah Hemton of Hampshire County and Coloney of Virginia being weak in Body but Sound of Memory (blessed be God) on the 3rd day of June in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Two make and Publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following, That is to say First I give to my son Andrew Hamton My Bibel also I give and beqeath to my oldest daughter Mathy five shillings, also I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann one Iron Pot, also I give to my Dear and Loving Wife Alse Hamton My Feather Bed and Funitur Also I give unto my Wife her choise of one of my horses and a cow and calf and sadle and bridel, also I give to my Wife Alse during her widowhood the yuse of my Plantation Whereon I Now Livith and all my househel Funiture Stock of Horses Cattel Sheep and Hogs with all my Plants and Utensils with the remander of my Estate to have and to hold Whilst her name is Alse Hamton and after her deseas the same to be sold will my Plants and the money arising by the same to be put on interest to be equally divided between Edward Pursley and William Pursley Sons of my Dayghter Ann and I make_________________ ___________ __________ for the Intents of Purposes in this my Will contained and I make my Loving Friend Jonathan Heath overseer of this my will to take one and see the Same Performed according to the true intent and meaning and for his Pains I give him the___ Persent In witness whereof I the said Noah Hamton have this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal the Day and year above written. - Note: Noah married #1 Sarah Marie Wright before 19 October 1717 in Monmouth Co. New Jersey. He married #2 Alys (Alse)_______ before c 1734. Noah's will was filed 9 July 1775. He lived on 96 acres of Patterson Creek Manor,Lot #17.

2. Noah Hampton b.c1692 in Freehold, Monmouth Co. NJ, d. 1774 Hampshire Co. VA/WV I have a copy of his will, married to Sarah....... while in NJ, name of wife in his will Alse.........? need to look at later land deeds for this location to see if I can find estate papers of his widow. His will named only one son Andrew. The maiden name of said Sarah might be found buried in records in NJ, or might not. His brother John was the father of Isabell, George & Thomas, said George's daughter married into our Sowers family.
