Obituary: "Aged Man is Dead Near Georgetown," (Danville) Danville Daily News, 26 July 1910; Noah E. Hubbard, almost 96 years old, one of the pioneer residents of this setion of Illinois, died at his home, five miles north of this place about 3 o'clock last night. He had been ill for some time and in feeble condition for a long time. Mr. Hubbard was born at Sheffield, mass., on Nov. 20, 1814. At the age of 6 years he was taken by his parents to Cayuga, Ind., where the family settled on a farm. He remained there until he was 21 years old, when he came to Vermilion county, Illinois. He was married to Miss Catherine Ogden, who was raised within a quarter of a mile of the Hubbard farm near this place and she died there thirty years ago. They had six children, three of whom are dead, but two sons and one daughter survive the aged man. They are A.A. Hubbard and J.K. Hubbard, both residing near the home place, and Mrs. Alice Gantz, who lived with her father. One brother, William Hubbard, of Boswell, Ind., also survives. He was at his brother's bedside when he died.
