About Noah Schnapp

Noah Schnapp (born October 3rd, 2004) is a 17-year-old American actor who has appeared in multiple movies and television shows as a main character. His career started in 2015 when Bridge of Spies was released with him portraying Roger Donovan in the film. Sophia M. Pietrzak, a childhood actress starring in Teletubbies, is a longtime best friend of Noah and his sister Chloe.

He is best known for the films Bridge of Spies (2015) and The Peanuts Movie (2015), but his most notable work is the portrayal of main character Will Byers on the Netflix original television series Stranger Things.

In Season 1, Schnapp was given the role of Will Byers as a recurring character. In Season 2 onwards, he was promoted to a regular character.

Noah's desire for acting started when he was about 5 years old after watching the Broadway production of Annie. He performed acting roles in school and community plays. When he was eight years old, his acting teacher suggested he go professional. Noah's parents enrolled him in an acting program at Westchester's Star Kidz with coach Alyson Isbrandtsen who soon referred him to MKS&D Talent Management for career opportunities.

In 2015, his first onscreen role was in Steven Spielberg's historical drama film Bridge of Spies, along with Tom Hanks. Also in 2015, he voiced the lead character, Charlie Brown, in 2015's The Peanuts Movie.

In 2016, he was cast as Will Byers in the Netflix science fiction horror web television series Stranger Things.

In 2017, he was in "We Only Know So Much", based on the Elizabeth Crane novel as Lucas. In 2018, He was also in ‘Intensive Care’ as TJ Swift and he was a recurring cast in Liza Koshy's YouTube Premium series Liza on Demand as Evan, a rude teenage Uber rider.

Later in 2018, Noah will next be seen as the lead of "Abe", an indie drama that tells the story of Abraham, a 12 year old boy with a passion for cooking who has never known a family dinner without arguments. Directed by Fernando Grostein Andrade, the film is in production in New York.

In 2019, it was announced that he was going to be comedy horror film Hubie Halloween, along with Adam Sandler then in 2020, Hubie Halloween was digitally released by Netflix on October 7, 2020. It was the top-streamed title in its first two weeks of release.

In 2020, he played Jo, a 13-year-old shepherd along with the help of the widow Horcada, helps to smuggle Jewish children across the border from southern France into Spain, based on a popular YA book by Michael Morpurgo, author of The War Horse, in a drama film Waiting for Anya.

He is Jewish, and had his Bar Mitzvah in Israel.

His family is from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and he visits the city often. His mother is of Moroccan Jewish descent. Both of his parents are from Montréal, Québec, Canada and Noah's extended family still lives there.

His acting influences are Tom Hanks, Chris Evans, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Tom Holland, Leonardo DiCaprio and Zendaya.
