Noreen Marie Daigle Drummond 1938 - 2015 FARMINGDALE - Noreen Marie Daigle Drummond passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, surrounded by her loving family. Born on Sept. 6, 1938, in Edmunston, New Brunswick, Canada, to Florine M. Daigle and Rosaire J. Daigle, both deceased, Noreen spent much of her youth in Aroostook County before moving to Farmingdale in 1955. On Jan. 25, 1957, Noreen married the love of her life, Phillip E. Drummond. Noreen enjoyed working for several years as an Ed Tech for MSAD #11 and the Gardiner Adult Education Program before retiring in 1996. She will be sadly missed by her loving and caring husband of 58 years; and her children, daughter, Susan M. Hanscom of Amesbury, Mass., son, Dwaine E. Drummond and wife Brenda Glidden Drummond of Weeks Mills, and daughter, Lisa A. Webster and companion Daniel P. Albert of Farmingdale. She is survived by her siblings Beverly Dragoo and special friend Sonny Langston of Surprise, Ariz., Keith Daigle and friend, Liz Daigle of Largo, Fla., Alden Daigle and wife, Velma Lou Daigle of New Port Richey, Fla., Mary DeFalco and special friend, Mary Lou Thompson of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Kenneth Daigle of Milford, Conn. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Daigle. Noreen is also survived by her six adoring grandchildren, Paul E. Hanscom of Kingston, N.H., Juli-Ann Hanscom of Boston, Mass., Chase and Kiley Drummond of Weeks Mills, Chad Webster of Tenants Harbor, and Drew Webster of Farmingdale; as well as many nieces, nephews; cousins; and friends. Noreen and her family wish to extend special thank you to the staff at the Alfond Cancer Center and Maine General Hospice whose time, patience and care was greatly appreciated during her extended illness. A very special thank you to the many people who sent Noreen cards for the last several months, which brought her great joy. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, from 4-7 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gardiner, on Friday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. Friends are invited to a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Spring Street, in Gardiner, following the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, Noreen would like to have donations made in her name to Maine General Hospice, the Maine Heart Association , or the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.
