Obituary: Norman Lavern West, 91, of Mesa died June 11, 2012, in Mesa. He was born November 4, 1920, in Lakeside. Norman served in the Navy during World War II. He was a lifelong member of the LDS Church, with heritage of Mormon pioneers. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Evelyn Massey West; children: Norma King (John), Royce (Ann), Darvil, Wade, Nolan (Carole), Janis Wilkins, Sundee Burney; 24 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday June 15, at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way in Mesa. Services will be held Saturday June 16, at the Aspen Ward at 48 St. and Southern in Mesa at 10 a.m. with a viewing at 9 a.m. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Monday June 18, at the Lakeside Cemetery.
