About Nussie Muttel Khapman
In the Rechitsa 1906 Duma Voters Database (Second Duma - 1906: Rechitsa uezd Voters List, Minsk Guberniya) Nussie Muttel is listed as being registered in Kalenkovich as "Motel Khapman" with the patronymic of "Abov". "Abov" means the father's name was probably Aba (the suffix '-ov' or '-ovich', both mean 'son of'). As we know, Joseph's father was Nussie Muttel. His property is valued at 60 rubles in 1906.
In this same document there are 2 more Khapmans: Aba Khapman and Khaim Khapman both of whom have property valued at 60 rubles and both with patronymic "Itskov" (son of Isaac?). If Isaac were Motel's brother, then Aba and Khaim were first cousins of Joseph, Israel, etc. If Isaac were Aba's brother then Aba and Khaim were Motel's first cousins.
