Excerpt from Charles H Ayers, Ancestors of Silas Ayers and Mary Byram Ayers.., 1905:

Obadiah Ayers, son of John [Sr] was the founder of the Ayers family of New Jersey. He was the fifth son and is supposed to have been born in England in 1635-6 and to have lived with his father in Haverhill, Mass., where he married on March 19, 1661, Hannah Pike, daughter of [Capt.] John Pike, of Newbury.

Mr. Mellick in his "Story of an Old Farm" states on page 108, "John Pike, Daniel Pierce and seven associates from Newbury, Mass., entered into an agreement on Dec. 11, 1666, whereby on the third day of December, 1667, they received from Gov. Carteret and some of the Elizabeth town associates a grant of land, embracing what is now the town of Woodbridge. They as the representatives, of at least, sixty families on the 1st day of June 1690 were granted a charter creating a township covering six square miles. The name of their new settlement was derived from their pastor John Woodbridge, of Newbury…"

Obadiah Ayers sold his homestead in Haverhill to his brother Nathaniel, May 5, 1669, and on the 8th of August, the same year received a grant of 171 acres of land…and a house lot of 16 acres… He seems to have been a man of affairs, his name frequently appears as a grantee and grantor of conveyances of land. … In 1684 he was a member of the Grand Jury…On Jan. 16, 1886, "Obadiah Hayers" was chosen constable…

Obadiah Ayers died at Woodbridge Nov. 14, 1694, his will is dated Nov. 10, 1694.

Notes:

The Haverhill Vital Records Transcript has birth entries for Sarah, Timothy and Samuel; they are not listed in Newbury Births, Marriages, Death (brother John is listed).

The New Jersey Births and Christenings on FamilySearch.com has 2 records for Sarah, dau of Obadiah Ayers and Hannah, Woodbridge, NJ., one dated 1683 (b. Apr/d. Nov), the other 1685 (no death date). I have found no documentation for a daughter Hannah, though this could be due to a transcription error for the 1685 christening record. The Essex Antiquarian, Oct 1900 article on Ayer Genealogy lists two Sarahs and an unnamed dau b. 7 Sep 1685.

I am assuming Obadiah is buried with wife Hannah in the First Presbyterian Churchyard, Woodbridge, NJ.
