Biography ==When Obadiah (Obed) Blakesley was born on August 29, 1754, in Waterbury, Connecticut, his father, John, was 30 and his mother, Olive, was 26. He married Sarah Gilbert and they had one son together. He also had at least one child with Mary Murphy. He died on February 4, 1825, in Castle Creek, New York, at the age of 70, and was buried in Binghamton,New York.
