About Olav Seland
Olav came to America via ship. The tour went via Liverpool, on the ship Teutonic from the White Star shipping company. It sailed from Liverpool on Dec. 14, 1898. The ship arrived in New York and Ellis Island on " little Christmas" Eve 1898. Olav eventually moved to Drumheller, Alberta, Canada and then to a farm near Sylvan Lake, Alberta where he continued his trade as carpenter. He was a specialist at laying and scraping oak floors. He retired in Drumheller.
