Mrs. Olive Lee Roy Pritchard, age 77, of Columbia, Tenn., died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. Mrs. Pritchard, born Dec. 31, 1922, in Dodridge County, W. Va., to David V. Roy and Wanda Ruth Gatrell Roy, was a retired cashier with Columbia Central High School in Columbia.
Mrs. Pritchard was a member of several organizations, including, the United Daughters Confederacy (Stonewall Jackson Chapter), West Virginia Society Daughters of the American Revolution, the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, and the Maury County Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbia.
Mrs. Pritchard is survived by her husband, Roy March Pritchard, of Columbia; two sons, David M. Pritchard, of Forrest City, and Joseph E. Pritchard, of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home of Columbia, Tenn. Reverends Tommy Ward and Tom Smith of First United Methodist Church officiated and burial followed in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, Tenn., under the direction of Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.
