Oliver Kenney (died June 23, 1958)

Funeral services for Oliver Kenney, retired miner and resident of the Tri-State district since 1898, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Baptist church in Quapaw. The Rev. M.R. Dareing will officiate.

Burial will be in the GAR cemetery, Miami, under the direction of the Hunter Funeral home, Picher.

Mr. Kenney, 69, died unexpectedly Monday evening at his home in Galena, Kan. He was a member of the Quapaw Baptist church.

Survivors include a son, John William Kenney, Springfield, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Williams, Galena; a brother, Grover Kenney of Joplin Route 1, and two grandchildren.
