About Walter L Kenney
Walter has always been a mystery to me. Mother had said once that Granddad Kenney had said that Walter disappeared and wasn't heard from again. But in G-Grandma Kenney's obit it said that there were 5 sons and 2 daughters that survived, so they must have known that Walter was still alive.
When I started doing genealogy, I made it my mission to find out what happened to him, so I could bring him back into the family where he belongs.
I wonder if he was anything like his brother, my granddad or if he was a rough and tumble miner? I wonder what he looked like are there any pictures of him especially in later years?
There is no marker for him and they waited 10 days to bury him. Was he killed in a mining accident and it took them that long to get him out or were they hoping that someone from the family might come to retrieve him? These are questions that still need to be answered in the near furture.
