Calhoun Times July 10, 1890 Mr. Olive(sic) Quinn died on the 6th day of July, 1890, at his residence near Calhoun, Ga. He was 84 years of age and was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He left South Carolina and moved to Gordon county in 1846 and settled on a farm where he lived up to the time of his death. He was married twice and his second wife survives him. Unto him were born 17 children. He has, all his life, been a strict member of the Methodist church, was ever prompt in attendance and always welcome as a consistent brother and the church feels it has lost one of the main pillars.....He was considered one of the staunchest citizens of Gordon county....He was the youngest of 12 children and survived them all.
