Died, on the 7th inst., of congestion of the stomach, O.S. Nabors, aged 47 years.
Born in the State of Alabama; emigrated to this State in the year 1852. He resided in Dangerfield, Titus county, for twenty years and removed to this place one year ago, where he remained and lived a good citizen, honored and respected by all who knew him. At the age of twenty years he volunteered in company H, 13th Regt. U.S. Infantry, and served until the termination of the Mexican War in 1848, and in the late war served from March 1862, to its end, in company I, Whitfield's Legion of Texas cavalry. In each army he was always the life and spirit of his companions in arms. After the late war he attached himself to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member at his death. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his loss. May their loss be his eternal gain--peace to his ashes.
