He was the son of Cecil Weld Forester, 1st Baron Forester of Willey Park and Lady Katherine Mary Manners.
He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).
He held the office of Prebendary of Langtoft.
He held the office of Canon of York.
He was the Rector between 1867 and 1887 at Gedling, Nottinghamshire, England.
He held the office of Chancellor of York University between 1874 and 1879.
He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Forester of Willey Park, co. Shropshire [U.K., 1821] on 4 February 1886.
