And a few intimate details thanks to relative Claudia ...

"Oscar Pisk - my father's uncle (married Regina Levy) - was my father's favorite (photo available); having been quite prosperous leather merchant in Vienna, he escaped to New York, where he became a street vendor with a pushcart, according to his daughter Edith Pisk (married Sigi Stappler) - I met Stapplers once, such a delightful and loving old couple. She was proudly wearing a dress her husband had painted (!) The other two daughters of Oscar were Greta (married Sam Karger) - I also met her in New York and Alice (married Jack Bauminger). All came to America. These girls were described by my father as exceedingly beautiful."
