About Oscar Villadolid
In 1991 President Corazon Aquino appointed him as Philippine Ambassador to the Holy See at the Vatican; he would hold this position until 1996.
He was a reporter / columnist for the Manila Bulletin, served as editor-in-chief of the Philippines Herald from 1971 to 1972, and was senior vice president for San Miguel Corp.'s public relations by 1990. Upon his return to Manila after serving as ambassador to the Holy See, he served as columnist for BusinessWorld. He received the Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Philippines (Journalism) award in 1963.
His father Deogracias is known for pioneering the farming of tilapia in the Philippines.
