He married 1 July 1906 in McLennan Co., Texas, Lela Everette Crook born April 1882 in Lorena or Hewitt, McLennan Co., Texas. They had three children.

P.O. Reynolds served with the Tennessee Volunteers during the Spanish-American War. He was a telegrapher with Missouri, Kansas & Texas Railroad (Katy). He & Lela were married in Hewitt, Texas. Each of their three sons was born in a different town in Texas, along the Katy RR route. Everett Crook Reynolds was born in Mart, Wilton in Addicks, near Houston, and John near Hewitt.
