Pamela J. Schweitzer, 62, Minot, formerly of Mohall, North Dakota, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 in a hospital in Minot, North Dakota following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Pamela was born on March 13, 1949, in Minot, North Dakota, a daughter of Albert and Eunice (Vig) Ness.
She was baptized at the Hamerly Lutheran Church near Sherwood, North Dakota. She was raised on a farm near Tolley, North Dakota and attended school at Grover and Tolley, North Dakota.
In 1972, Pamela was united in marriage to Arlin Schweitzer in Green River, Wyoming. They made their home in Mohall, where Pamela worked at the Good Samaritan Nursing Homes as a cook. They lived in Mohall, North Dakota until 2000, when they moved to Minot, North Dakota.
Pamela enjoyed doing craftwork for craft shows and flea markets, collecting Native American artifacts, playing horseshoes, camping, traveling, playing Yahtzee, taking an occasional trip to the casino and playing bingo.
She was a very proud grandmother of Isaac, 11, Mason, 10, Erin, 7, Adam, 5, Alyx and Justin, and a proud great grandmother of Kayden.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, brothers David Ness and Curtis Ness
Pamela was our family's rock and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
