Patience Barnes

Joshua Barnes married Prudence . and had two children, Samuel and William. The latter, according to Barnes Gen ealogies, 1903, p. 4, was born in 1649. William removed to the Borough of Westchester, N. Y., about 1684, and there he married Hannah Underhill. Samuel married Nov. 9, 1676, Patience Wil liams, and had children: Patience, born Aug. 31, 1677; Temper ance, born Jan. 16, 1679; and Joshua, born April 8, 1683. Samuel died Feb. 21, 1693, and his widow administered upon his estate. She and her only son, Joshua, sold the homestead, March 22, 1706, and removed to Jamaica, L. I.
