Patience Bland Smith Gurley, 1797-1885. A native of South Carolina. Daughter of Joshua and Mary Anderson Smith. Wife of Davis Gurley and a pioneer of Waco. She died at Liberty Hall, the Gurley plantation.

This name and information were found in the 1962 survey of Old First Street Cemetery by Mrs. J. L. Staton, Sr. and Mrs. Thos. R. Meredith.
Their cemetery survey was published in 1965 in McLennan County Cemetery Records, Volume I, by the Central Texas Genealogical Society.
