29 April 1701: INSTRUMENT OF SASINE narrating sasine given by John Chrystie [Christie], glover in Cowper [Coupar], as bailie for Margaret Gray, relict of deceased James Haliburtone of Wattriebutts [Halliburton of Waterybutts] and now spouse to David Ogilvie in Glenmarkie, to Thomas Will in Cowper as attorney for John Ogilvie, bailie depute of the regality of Coupar, of an annualrent of 600 merks Scots, to be uplifted from the lands of Balbrogie; on a precept contained in a disposition dated at Coupar, 28 November 1700, and witnessed by William Farquharsone [Farquharson] of Shanallie, Alexander Ogilvie of Auldallan, and William Rattray, clerk of Coupar. Witnesses: Andrew Bruntoune [Brunton] in Cowper; William Aitkine [Aitken], brewer there; THOMAS BRUCE, SON TO PATRICK BRUCE, FLESHER THERE, James Bwrman, son to the notary.
