Patrick Sr McKie , b. abt. 1500/bef 1515 in Cumloden Scotland deceased in Minnigaff Kirkcudbright Scotland. Listed as landowner in 1504 and 1530 (sasine) in Larg. An interesting relic is a monumental stone built into the wall of the old kirk of Minnigaff bearing the inscription: "Hic jacet--Patricus M'Ke de Caloda me fieri fecit" (Here lies--Patrick M'Ke of Camloden [who]caused me to be made), per Book of Mackay p 354
Book of McKee pg 325 calls this the "Minigaff stone"
III. Patrick Makge of Larg, m. Janet, dau. of Uchtred Macdowall of Garthland, and widow of Alexr. Adair of Kinhilt, as a charter under the Great Seal shows, dated 1529. An interesting relic of this couple, a monumental stone built into the wall of the old kirk of Minnigaff, bears the inscription :—" Hie jacet—Patricus M'Kc de Caloda me fieri fecit" (Here lies—Patrick M'Ke of Camloden caused me to be made). The known issue of Patrick was two sons :—
