About Paul Aloysius Weeks

Paul was the first of "Tilly's" sons to leave home. Paul married Clementine Collins, the daughter of his father's fishing friend and neighbor, Louis Collins. After settling in Baltimore, Maryland, and raising 6 children, they rarely returned to Alabama to visit the family. It is believed that his wife "Clemmie" felt no connection to the rural life offered in the place of her birth and firmly discouraged frequent trips to Magnolia Aprings. Paul often returned without her. Although their daughter Mary visited the old family home in Alabama on a couple of occasions, none of their sons ever did. They were occasionally derided by their country aunts & uncles as being "uppity" and that opinion seems to have been carried to the grave with many of Paul's sisters and brothers.
