ROY, Utah — Paul Bingham , 82, passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at McKay-Dee Hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1922, in Cornish, Utah, the son of Ray E. and Hazel Cunningham Bingham. On Nov. 27, 1946, Paul married Norma Peterson in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He honorably served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII as a top turret gunner on a Mitchell B-25 with the 345th squadron. He also served with the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He retired from flight test as an aircraft mechanic, at Hill Air Force Base, after 32 years of service. Paul was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cedar Crest Ward. He enjoyed fishing and camping. His greatest treasure was his family and they will greatly miss his wit and words of wisdom. Paul is survived by his wife, Norma; two daughters, Paula (Ken) Bird of Roy and Sandra (David) Despain of El Centro, Calif.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Velma Wheeler of Preston, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy and Don; and two sisters, Edith Pearce and Lucile Hebdon. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, with Bishop Gerald Thompson officiating. Friends and family may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 South.
