About Paul Paddoch

Paul Paddoc of Le Cateau, Nord and of Bapaume, Pas de Calais, France was Lord of the Manore of Le Chateau and Montheme. He was emancipated at the age of 25 years by his father on 4 Oct 1532. He purchased the manor of Montherme in 1552. In 1554 and 1555 he was administrator for his father's estate, "but did not pay the bequest to his brothers and sisters , which led to litigations." His mother "assumed the distribution in consideration of maintenance for her life" Montherme 2 Oct 1555. Francoise Trailour Paddoc had a brother "Noel Trailour" who married in 1562 to Jeanne De Gasque of Nouzon. They had a son named Jean Trailour who emigrated to London and married in the Waloon Church. According to the History of the Walloon and Huhuenot Church of Canterbury, French Protestands fled to a home of exile where they could worship in freedom and avoid torment, torture and death. The Waloons, as in this record inhabited southern Belgium and adjoining Flemish regions in France and spoke a French dialect. (From the Paddock Genealogy written by Robert Curfman)

Biography Paul Paddoc was born June 14, 1507 in Le Cataeu, Cambrai, Nord, France, to Henri Paddoch and Marie Brojuin. He married Francoise Traillour September 3, 1549 in France. They had three children. He was Lord of the Manors of Le Cateau and Montherme in 1552. He was administrator of his father's estate after he passed away in 1553, but did not properly pay the shares of the estate to his brothers and sisters. The siblings litigated against him in 1554, and won. Afterward, his mother assumed the responsibility of distributing the estate to her children.

He passed away October 3, 1589.
