Paul Planinsek

Middletown - Paul I. Planinsek, 95, of Old Lyme, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, in Middlesex Hospital.

Mr. Planinsek was born on June 23, 1919, in Browndale, Pa., the son of Gregory and Frances Planinsek. He married Genineve Ozik in 1956. She predeceased him in 1982. He served our country in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II. He was employed as a machinist at the Hartford Machine Screw and later worked in security at the USPS.

Mr. Planinsek is survived by his daughter, Jackie Miano of Old Lyme; 10 nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his nine siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Christ the King Church, 1 McCurdy Road, Old Lyme. Interment will be held in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield following the Mass on Tuesday. Calling hours will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2015, in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith Lane, Old Lyme, CT 06371.
