Services for Paul Reiner, Cordell, were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday from the Hammon Assembly of God with Rev. T. W. Chapman officiating. Born December 15, 1861, in Budapest, Hungary, Mr. Reiner died at his home in Cordell Tuesday February 27. Mr. Reiner first came to the United States when he was 11 years old, then went back to Hungary and returned when he was 14 years old to make his home in America. First, he came to Cuba for a while, then to the United States and visited in all the states of the Union and decided to make this his home. In 1912 he helped to build the railroad from Snyder to Hammon, and in 1914 was married to the former Ida Hunter. Soon after his marriage he filed on a farm near Moorewood and lived there until he was 93 years old, when he moved to Cordell. Last December 15, he celebrated his 100th birthday in the hospital in Cordell. Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Joe, Clinton, Albert, Elk City, and Tom of the Cordell home; four daughters, Alice Stalcup, Cordell; Lillie Stancel, Elk City; Ruby Clifton, Santa Rosa, Calif., and Viola Corbin, Haywood, Calif.; 25 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons and two daughters. Burial was in the Moorewood cemetery.
