Paul G. Stadler, 71, Topeka, died Friday, April 14, 1995, at his home.
Mr. Stadler was a self-employed day wall installer and painter after World War II. He later was a carpenter for Schmidtlein Construction Co. for more than 20 years.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was decorated with the American Theater ribbon, Asiatic Pacific-three stars, and the Victory Medal.
He was born Feb. 27, 1924 in Topeka, son of John P. and Catherine M. Duman Stadler.
Mr. Stadler was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He was married to Rose Theresa Browne on June 17, 1950 in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Paul II of Wichita; six daughters, Mary Albright of Great Bend, Ruth Holmes of Albany, Ore., Theresa Huslig of Wichita, Regina Scott of Manhattan, Margaret McDonald of Topeka, Barbara Hilger of Joplin, MO; eight sisters, Cecelia, Susan, Barbara Knoebber, Sophie Trull, Theresa Fletchall, all of Topeka, Sister Germaine of Huntington, Ind., Mary of Yerington, Nev., Regina Matheny of Anandale, Minn.; 20 grandchildren.
Mr. Stadler was preceded in death by an infant, Paul G. Stadler in 1953, and infant daughter, Rose Theresa Stadler in 1963.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Stadler will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 pm Tuesday.
