About Paul T. Schonstrom, Jr.
I've retired so many times and from so many places I need to keep a list:
First, I retired after more than 22 years from the US Army. 10 years as an NCO, 12 years as an officer.
Next I worked a number of years and qualified for retirement from Follett College Stores. I started as an accountant, became an Assistant Store Manager and later had my own college bookstore to manage.
After Follett, I started as a part-time temporary employee at the Denver home office of Great-West Life & Assuance. In time they convinced me to come to work for them full time and since all my other retirement funds were tied up - unless I wanted to pay horrendous fees and penalties, I went to work full time, first as an office supplies and equipment buyer and when we automated the ordering system for the company and its subsidiaries nation wide I wound up working as a computer systems analyst and administrator.
I finally decided that at age 67 I'd had enough so I took my company retirement and my Social Security retirement in 2005.
