"...The family first emigrated to the UK. Edmund Waldstein and his wife Paula Wiener Waldstein. They lived in Lincoln, England with their youngest daughter- Monika Margareta Waldstein Bourne and her husband Paul Bum - later changed to Bourne. Edmund died in 1942 or 43 and Paula, his widow, emigrated to the US in 1944 or 45. Coming through Canada and then to NYC. ... Paula came to live with us (in Cumberland, MD)until she died in 1948 ..."
