Paulene Judith Stone

Paulene Stone (born on May 10, 1941 in Guildford, Surrey, England) is a British former model She is an actress, known for ITV Playhouse (1967), I Am a Bounty Hunter: Domino Harvey's Life (2006) and Fame, Fashion and Photography: The Real Blow Up (2002). She was previously married to Mark Burns, Peter Morton, Laurence Harvey and Anthony Norris. She was a Vogue cover girl who embodied Swinging London in the 1960s.[1]

She was born in Guildford and left school at the age of 16 to work in London commuting from her home in Goring-by-Sea.[2] After winning a modeling competition (the prize being £100 and a three-week course at the Cherry Marshall Modelling Agency), she began her career as a model.[2] A 1960 photo that ran in the Daily Express of her crouching down with a squirrel led to a contract with Vogue magazine and also launched the career of celebrated photographer David Bailey.[2][3][4][5]

The couple divorced in 1967. A couple of years later, in 1969, Stone gave birth to actor Laurence Harvey's only child, Domino Harvey, while he was married to Joan Perry. Stone married Harvey in 1972; the marriage lasted only a year before his death in 1973. In 1978, Paulene Stone married Peter Morton, co-founder of the Hard Rock Cafe restaurant chain, and moved to Los Angeles. They had one son, Harry Morton (1981-2019).[5] They divorced in 1986. Stone's fourth and final marriage was to actor Mark Burns, to whom she remained married until his death in May 2007.

Her daughter, Domino Harvey, once a model, was later a famous bounty hunter. She was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Los Angeles home, June 27, 2005, dying that day in a hospital of an accidental overdose of the painkiller, Fentanyl.

In Domino, the film about Stone's daughter Domino's life, Paulene is played by actress Jacqueline Bisset. Stone, however, requested that her name not be used in the film. The character was renamed Sophie Wynn.
