Paulita Jaramillo (Maxwell), alleged girlfriend of Billy the Kid was born on May 17, 1864 in Mora, Mora County, New Mexico, USA. Her parents were Lucien Bonaparte Maxwell and Ana Maria De La Luz Maxwell (Beaubien).

Paulita married Jose F. Jaramillo. Together they had the following children: Adelina Jaramillo; Luz Jaramillo; Telesfor Jose Jaramillo.

Paulita partnered with William Henry "Billy the Kid" Bonney (McCarty), II.

She died on December 17, 1929 in Fort Sumner, De Baca County, NM, United States from Nephritis or Bright's Disease and was buried in Old Fort Sumner Cemetery, Fort Sumner, De Baca County, New Mexico, USA.
