1. Marriage ot Pauwell DeWitt, young man born in Raretan, Hunterdon, Co, now Somerset Co, New Jersey married 12/10/1749 Catherine Dupuy, young women born in Esopus, both dwelling in Palingskill, (source NY record vol 57 Smithfield Pennsylvania )( church records Helen Perry page 291 & 576) Palingskill is eastern Sussex Co, not far from Rariton.

2. May 1st 1750 Paul DeWitt and Catherine Dupuy his wife were witness's at the baptism of Elizabeth Devore daughter of Danial Devore Jr and Molly or Mally Leed.. (Helen Perry collection--2ond shipment) mentioned in the Reformed Church of Deer Park, New York in 1752.

3. See Smithfield Dutch Church, Pa , MD 1749.

4. Smithfied church was built around 1725 near the present village of Shawnee, Monroe Co,Pa.((NYGB Society vol.5.).

5. Records of the readington Reformed Church, Hunterdon Co, New Jersey, found in the Somerset co, New Jersey historical Society publications Vol. IV. pages 212.215. 299. 230.

6. Records of the reformed Church at Machacenmeck-- Minisink, located at Port Jarvis, New York. When Paulus and Catherine baptised their infant daughter Sara ( may/ 7 /1751) the witness were Johannes Dupuy and Rachel Devore his wife.

7. Paulus traveled down the Ohio River to Kentucky with 3 or 4 of his sons.( can't find the source for this yet i believe it was in the Helen Perry collections.)
