About Paulus Hantz Bachman

Migrated from Lehigh Co., PA. to Medina Co., Ohio in 1826. He bought a farm between Doylestown & Wadsworth, near the "High Church". He died there in 1855, and was buried in the cemetery next to the Zion Church. There is no grave marker.

Age 81.

Paul was the first of this line of Bachmanns to be born in America in what is now Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. In 1826 he came to Ohio & bought a farm between Doylestown & Wadsworth, near the High Church. He was buried in the cemetery next to Zion Church, Doylestown (Doylestown Lutheran Cemetery). There is no grave marker. His descendants changed the surname to Baughman, and two of his granddaughters are also buried in this cemetery: Mary Susan and Barbara.
