From findagrave: Mrs. Hobkirk Dies Suddenly
OSAGE — A lifetime Mitchell County resident, Mrs. Joseph (Pearl) Hobkirk, 73, died suddenly Tuesday evening from a heart attack at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital here. Funeral rites are incomplete pending word from relatives. The Champion Funeral Home is in charge.
She was born in Douglas Township in November, 1882, the daughter of William and Jennie Markham. She married Joseph Hobkirk Nov. 11, 1903, and they lived in Burr Oak Township until the death of Mr. Hobkirk in 1927. She has lived in Osage since.
Survivors include two daughters, Miss Mary Hobkirk, assistant Mitchell County clerk, and Mrs. J. E. Hynes, Akron, Ohio a grandson, four brothers, Ray Alton and William, all of Osage and John, Lyle, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. George Bush, Anthony Kan.
