Peder Antonson was born August 15, 1889 to Anton and Gertrude Pedersen in Finnsnes, Norway. He served in the Norwegian Army and at the age of 25, he emigrated to the United States. He left Trondheim for the US on the 12 February 1913, with the ship S/S Ragnvald Jarl (built 1890 in Newcastle). According to the Emigration protocols his fare was paid in full by someone in the US. After arriving in Boston, he set out for the Midwest. He stayed one year in Colfax, Wisconsin where he worked in a logging camp.
In 1915 he came to Dazey and worked on the George Rasmusson farm. In January of 1919 he became a U.S. Citizen and in the fall of 1919 he married Agnes Petersen, daughter of Charles and Betty Petersen of Dazey.
After he was married he worked as a carpenter until 1925, when he and his family moved to a farm north of Dazey. They lived on the farm until 1938, at this time they moved back to Dazey, and he again went to work as a carpenter. In 1942 and 1943 he worked in Ogden, Utah and Juneau, Alaska.
