"Peder worked hard financially. He had several smaller loans from many lenders, and there were a couple of times forced debt collection. This was part of the reason why he gave up the farm so early. In 1875, Peder and Margrete were retiered with their son-in-law Lars having taken over the farm in 1872 and themself living on the cottagers/crofters place Hestanes."
