Biography

Peleg was a son of Philip Chandler and his wife Rebekah, born 27 April 1735 at Duxbury, Massachusetts.[1] As the VRs show this couple having sons of this name 27 Apr 1735 and 24 Oct 1738, it would appear the latter is the one who lived to maturity, so findagrave is incorrect. The DAR record is incorrect both on the choice between the birth dates, and on the state in which the town of death is located. Death record also has incorrect choice of birth date. Likewise, among the 10 sourced children of Peleg, there are 2 sons of that name born just over 2 years apart.
