    Penelope O'Brien is the daughter of Sir Donal O'Brien and Slany O'Brien.1,2 She married, firstly, Thomas FitzMaurice, 14th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, son of Edmond FitzMaurice, 9th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Una MacMahon, after 1563.1 She married, secondly, Owney O'Loughlin.3 She and Thomas FitzMaurice, 14th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw were separated in 1580 repudiating her so he could marry his third wife, but he may have later remarried her.3

    She was also known as Finola.1 From after 1563, her married name became FitzMaurice.1 Her married name became O'Loughlin.3 Citations
