He lived in one of the four parts of house No. 101. He received half of it from his mother-in-law in 1755 and bought the other half from her at the same time. The apartment consisted of two rooms, a kitchen, half of the hall, a cellar and the corresponding part of the yard and garden. He ran a brandy factory in the garden. He had family number 201 under the German name Philip Bauer.
