Peta-Ann Barrett (1985 - 2018)

Brief overview:

Peta-Ann (33), was shot dead by intruders while attempting to protect her 37-year-old disabled adopted brother, Marko Mihailovic.

"It is alleged that two armed and extremely aggressive men forced the door of their residence in Nooitgedacht on 3rd July 2018."

The armed perpetrators forced Peta-Ann into the bathroom where her brother was at the time. They demanded cash which they didn’t have. The attackers then opened fire and shot her twice in the upper body. Peta-Ann died the following day.
