<p>Notes</p><p>From the 1872 Atlas & 1877 History of Lawrence County, Pennsylvania</p>Peter Book was of German descent and came from North Hampton County, PA, to Pittsburg and to what is now Wayne Twp in 1796 or 1797. He brought his wife and probably three children with him. He first built a log cabin on the bottom near the Beaver River and later came up the hill to a spot near where Mr McCouaby's house now stands. Where he built a second house. Mr Book died in 1844 at 79 years, his wife died in January 1845 at 77. Their daughter Catgherine was born April 1, 1798 is yet living. She married James Glenn whose father was an early settler in Plain Grove Twp.
