About Peter Coolbaugh
Lt. Peter Coolbaugh moved to Bradford County with family. He lived in Wysox and Macedonia, Pa for a number of years. 1813-1814 assessed in Wysox Township - note in tax roll reading "The land purchased of Christopher Cowell. Member of Wysox Church in 1812 - 1818 - Assessment roll says - House and land transferred to Conrad Cowell - In 1818 he moved to Lockville, Wyoming County, Pa, where he built a log cabin and cleared a farm on what has ever since been known as Coolbaugh Hill.
"He was one of the sons who served with their father in the Revolution. Peter the younger came to Bradford County along with other members of the family.
