Sometime around Whitsun 1653 he returned with his famil y to Düdelsheim. On April 4th, 1664, he was appointed Landc apitain (Captain of Militia) by Count Johann Ernst at Ysenb urg and Büdingen, his soverign. Together with his crew, Pet er Knauss was on guard at the trials against "witches" in D üdelsheim. Therefore, on April 5th, 1664, he received 8 Gui lden and 8 Schilling, a remarkable sum of money. Since Febr uary 22nd, 1657, he had been tenant of the Breidenbacher Ho f in Düdelsheim (25.2 acres). • Reference Number: 35686
