Peter Lynn one of 3 sons who descended from John Nicholas Lynn who emigrated to America from Hachenbach Germany previous to the Revolutionary War of which he was a soldier. Peter along with his brothers George and John came to Canfield in 1805 and settled on adjoining farms. Peter married Catharine Bailey in 1797 and had Adam, William, Peter, and 3 daughters.
