Peter was listed as a carpenter and farmer living near Rhine Center in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin in 1900. He retired in 1916 and moved to Marshfield in Wood County to make their home with their son Clinton.

"Peter Schueler, former resident of Sheboygan County died Sunday at the home of his son Clinton Schueler in Marshfield with whom he resided in recent years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Marshfield and interment will be made in a cemetery there.

Mr Schueler was born in Ozaukee County 2/2/1861 and when he was a small boy the family came to Sheboygan County locating near Franklin. On 12/3/1883 Mr Schueler was united in marriage to Mary Dexheimer. The couple resided in the town of Rhine where Mr Schueler was a carpenter. In 1900 they moved to a farm near Rhine Center, remaining there until they retired 1916 and went to Marshfield to make their home with their son Clinton.

Besides his son Clinton Schueler of Marshfield, Mr Schueler is suvived by three daughters, Mrs Joe Gerlach of Marshfield, Mrs Olivia Edeler of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Mrs Henry Platz Jr of Elkhart Lake. There are also ten grandchildren and one great-grandson and a sister Mrs Sophia Zinkgraf of Plymouth.

Mr Schueler was preceded in death by his wife who passed away 7/28/1933. Twin daughters Elizabeth and Elena died in infancy and another daughter Mrs Martin Edeler died 2/5/1925."
